Terms & Camp Policies

• A registration is confirmed only once payment has gone through. Starting the form holds a spot for a short time while you pay; if payment isn’t completed, the hold ends and the spot is released.
• You’ll receive a confirmation email with a confirmation number. If you don’t see it within an hour, check your junk folder, then email us.
• Prices are in Canadian dollars and include HST. Your receipt shows the HST included. HST registration number: 72585 8757 RT0001.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• The information you give us — especially the camper’s date of birth, health information and emergency contacts — must be accurate and complete. Tell us promptly if anything changes before camp.
• Spots are limited. When a camp is full, you can join the waitlist. Joining the waitlist doesn’t reserve a spot or charge you anything; if a spot opens, we’ll contact you.

Eligibility and groups. Holiday Hoops is for ages 7–13, based on the camper’s age on the first day of camp. Campers are placed in a group by age. We may move a camper to the other group, with your agreement, if it’s a better fit.

Location and schedule.Camps run at an indoor gym in Chatham, Ontario. Where the location hasn’t been announced at the time you register, we’ll email the address to registered families before camp. If we can’t run a camp on the registered dates, the organizer-cancellation refund below applies.

Camper kit. Each registered camper receives a basketball, a shirt and a cinch bag — one set per camper, even when registered for both weeks. Shirt sizes are subject to availability.

Risk of injury.Basketball is a physical activity. Even with good coaching and supervision, injuries happen — sprains, falls, collisions, and occasionally more serious injuries including concussions. By registering, you confirm you understand that and accept the reasonable risks of normal participation, and that your child is healthy enough to take part or you’ve told us what we need to know. Nothing in these terms excuses us from taking reasonable care.

Emergency care.If your child is injured or unwell, we’ll contact you or your emergency contact. In an emergency, or if no one can be reached, you authorize Chatham Kings staff to call 9-1-1, arrange emergency medical care and share relevant health information with responders. Any cost of emergency transport or treatment not covered by OHIP or insurance is the family’s responsibility.

Concussions.We follow Ontario’s Rowan’s Law. A camper suspected of having a concussion is removed from play immediately and can’t return until a physician or nurse practitioner has cleared them. Full protocol on the safety page.

What to bring.Indoor basketball shoes, a water bottle and comfortable athletic clothing. Label everything; we aren’t responsible for lost or damaged personal items.

Photos.Photo and video permission is separate and optional. If you didn’t give it, we won’t use images of your child. See our privacy policy.

• Cancellations made 14 or more days before the first day of the registered camp are eligible for a refund, less any non-refundable payment processing costs.
• Registrations cancelled within 14 days of camp are non-refundable except where otherwise approved due to medical or exceptional circumstances.
• If Chatham Kings cancels a camp, or can't run it on the registered dates, you'll receive a full refund of what you paid — including processing costs.
• To cancel, email us with the camper's name and your confirmation number. Email admin@gonzos.ca. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method.
• Days a camper misses, or leaves early, aren’t refunded or credited.
• A camper removed from camp under the code of conduct isn’t entitled to a refund.

Camp works when everyone in the gym is safe and respected. Campers, and the adults who bring them, agree to:

• Treat coaches, other campers, parents and facility staff with respect.
• Follow coach instructions and camp rules, and stay with the group.
• No bullying, harassment, discrimination, fighting or abusive language.
• No dangerous play of the kind that can cause injury — especially head injuries.
• Respect the facility and equipment.
• Speak up about injuries, including possible concussions, and about anything that feels wrong.

If a camper’s behaviour puts others at risk or keeps happening after a warning, we’ll call a parent, and we may ask for the camper to be picked up. Serious or repeated breaches can mean removal from camp. We’ll always tell you what happened and why.

• Bring your camper to the gym at the start time and hand them over to a Chatham Kings coach.
• Campers are only released to you, your listed emergency contact, or an adult you listed as authorized for pickup. We may ask for photo ID.
• To add a pickup adult, email us before camp from the address you registered with.
• Campers aren’t allowed to leave on their own or with anyone not on their list — including an older sibling who isn’t listed.
• Pick up on time. If you’re running late, let us know as soon as you can. If a camper hasn’t been picked up and we can’t reach you or your emergency contact, we’ll stay with them and may, as a last resort, contact the appropriate authorities.

• Private and small-group training is booked directly with Nick. The time, place and price are confirmed when you book. Prices include HST.
• Sessions run in open, observable spaces, and parents are always welcome to stay. See how one-on-one sessions work on the safety page.
• The participation, emergency-care, concussion and conduct terms above apply to training sessions too.
• If you need to reschedule, tell us as early as you can and we’ll find another time.

• Use the site lawfully. Don’t try to access areas or data you aren’t authorized to see, or interfere with how it works.
• Programs described as “coming soon” or collecting interest aren’t running yet. Joining an interest list isn’t a registration or a commitment, for you or for us.
• Our long-term goal of bringing professional basketball to Chatham-Kent is a vision, not a promise. No team, league or franchise is confirmed, and nothing on this site guarantees one.
• The Chatham Kings name, logo and site content belong to us or are used with permission. Please don’t reuse them without asking.
• We link to other organizations and resources for information. We’re not affiliated with or responsible for them unless we say so.

Faith and belief.Our coaching reflects our founder’s Christian values. Our camps, training and programs are open to everyone regardless of creed, including families with no religious belief. Holding any particular faith, or none, is never a condition of registration, participation, playing time or a scholarship spot, and nobody is pressured to take part in anything faith-related. If a program includes a faith-related activity, such as a short closing thought or prayer, that program’s page says so before you register, and registered families are told what’s planned before it starts. It’s always optional: in camps and groups, any child can sit out and keep playing with the group, no reason needed; in private sessions, it only happens if the family asks for it. We don’t ask about your family’s religion.

Liability.To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for a registration or session is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or any right you have under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

Changes. We may update these terms. The version in place when you registered applies to that registration — we record which version you agreed to.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
