Two camp weeks over the 2026 Christmas break: December 21–23 and December 28–30. Junior Camp (ages 7–10) runs 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Player Development Camp (ages 10–13) runs 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

In Chatham, Ontario, at an indoor gym. The specific gym will be announced to registered families before camp, along with final camper details.

$150 per camp, HST included. Both weeks is $270, HST included — a $30 saving. There are no added fees at checkout.

Every camper gets their own Chatham Kings basketball to keep, a camp T-shirt and a cinch bag, plus nine hours of basketball per camp. Both-weeks campers get one ball, one shirt and one bag.

Ten-year-olds can choose either. Junior Camp runs in the mornings with players aged 7–10; Player Development Camp runs in the afternoons with players aged 10–13. Ages are based on your child's age on December 21, 2026.

No. Both camps are open to all experience levels. Tell us about your child's experience when you register so coaches can group players appropriately.

Camp is basketball first. Nick is a Christian and coaches with those values, and a camp day may close with a short, optional faith moment, like a brief thought or prayer. Any camper can sit out and keep shooting with the group, no reason needed, and families will hear exactly what's planned before camp starts.

Indoor basketball shoes, a water bottle and athletic clothing. The basketball, shirt and bag are provided.

Cancellations made 14 or more days before the first day of the registered camp are eligible for a refund, less any non-refundable payment processing costs. Registrations cancelled within 14 days of camp are non-refundable except where otherwise approved due to medical or exceptional circumstances. If we cancel a camp, you get a full refund.

Yes. Each camper gets their own registration so we have the right details for every child — just complete the form again for each one.

Email us privately. We hold a limited number of scholarship spots so money isn't the reason a kid misses out, and nobody else needs to know.

Ages 8 to 18 — from a kid picking up the game to a high schooler chasing a roster spot. Sessions run one-on-one or in small pods.

Private sessions are $99, or $379 for a four-session package. Semi-private pods are $65 per player for two players, $55 for three, and $50 for four, per session. The four-week pod program is $199 per player, and tryout prep is $199 per player. All prices include HST.

That's what tryout prep is built for: shooting mechanics, ball handling, footwork and basketball IQ, plus game-like reps so tryout day isn't the first time it counts. We can't promise a roster spot — nobody honestly can — but we can help your player walk in prepared.

Only if you want it to. Sessions are basketball, coached with Nick's Christian values. If your family would like a short prayer or thought to close a session, just ask — otherwise it never comes up.

Coach-organized groups of 2–6 players of similar age and ability: more competition, more reps and a lower cost per family than private sessions. We're forming groups now — join the small-group interest list and we'll contact you when a group fits your player.

Not yet. We're working on a location and the program details now. Joining the interest list doesn't commit you to anything — it tells us who's interested and lets us contact you first when details are confirmed.

The plan is a positive place for kids to play, learn, connect and belong after school — basketball, homework time, games, snacks, mentors and structured free time. Final details, including days, times and pricing, will be confirmed before registration opens.

Yes. Coaches, former players, and adults who want to be a steady presence for kids in this community. Anyone working with kids will need to complete screening before they start — reach out and tell us how you'd like to help.

No — Chatham Kings is a local business, not a registered charity, so contributions aren't tax-receiptable. We'd rather be upfront about that than let anyone assume otherwise.

Chatham Kings is Chatham-Kent's basketball community — a local youth basketball business in Chatham-Kent, Ontario. Right now we run Holiday Hoops camps over the Christmas break and private and small-group training. An after-school program is coming soon. Scholarship spots mean no kid sits out over money, and the long-term vision is professional basketball in Chatham-Kent.

Yes — Chatham Kings is a faith-based basketball program. Founder and coach Nick Gonzalez is a Christian, and those values shape how he coaches and how every kid is treated. Sessions are basketball first; where a program includes a faith moment, its page says so, and it's always optional. Every family is welcome, whatever they believe or don't. We never ask about religion, and it never affects who can join or who gets a scholarship spot.

No. We're independent — not a member of Ontario Basketball or any provincial sport organisation, and not a registered charity. We're not starting a rep or club team; our programs help kids get better and make the teams that already exist.

Our safety page sets out exactly where screening stands, including what isn't done yet, and how sessions are run in the meantime: open, observable spaces, parents always welcome, and no private messaging with players. Read it before you register.

We follow Ontario's Rowan's Law across every program. Families review the concussion resources and our code of conduct at registration, any suspected concussion means immediate removal from play, and nobody returns without clearance from a physician or nurse practitioner.

We're on the same side. The Chatham-Kent Wildcats, the school teams and the other programs here have put a lot of kids into this game, and we want to see all of them do well. If your child's next step is one of their teams, that's a win. We're independent and not affiliated with any of them.

It's a long-term vision, not a done deal. No franchise has been awarded and no league has committed to Chatham-Kent. We're building what has to come first: kids playing, a community that shows up, and local support.
